On a sunny July 14, 2009, the Angino & Rovner team of Rich Sadlock, Josh Sadlock, Dan Tomaso, and Todd Gelbaugh made their way to Metro Bank Park on City Island to take part in the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Home Run Derby to fight breast cancer. No one will ever confuse the A&R team with the likes of Bonds (762 home runs), Aaron (755), Ruth (714), or Mays (660).
Unlike most home run derbies, for this derby points were awarded for every hit in fair territory, not just for home runs. Unfortunately, the A&R team did not hit any home runs. However, the team managed to hit well above the Mendoza line and scored a total of 1,175 points. The point total placed the A&R team ninth out of nineteen teams to compete at Metro Bank Park. More important than the team score, was the head-to-head competition between father and son Sadlock. The veteran Sadlock won the head-to-head competition and household bragging rights over the rookie.
